About Us :: OM International

Operation Mobilisation (OM) was founded in 1957 by George Verwer. In the early years there was an emphasis on short-term missions, especially in Europe. Over the years, however, a focus on long-term workers has grown.

We currently have over 4,000 missionaries serving in over 100 countries. That's a lot of people, cultures, and languages! But what do we all have in common? We love Jesus Christ, and we want every nation and people group to have the opportunity to hear about Him.

Given the vastness of the world and the diversity of cultures and languages in which we work, the sky is the limit when it comes to ministry. Looking to the local culture for inspiration, we seek to find innovative ways to share the Gospel.
